【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구가톨릭대(총장 성한기)가 ‘2023 상반기 특수분야 연수기관’에 선정되었다고 3일 밝혔다.

경상북도교육청연수원이 주관하는 ‘특수분야 연수기관’ 사업은 경상북도교육청연수원에서 실시할 수 없는 특수한 분야에 관한 연수를 위해 우수한 교육인프라를 갖춘 연수기관을 별도로 선정하여 지원하는 사업이다.

최근 해당 사업의 기관으로 선정된 대구가톨릭대 소프트웨어융합대학, 소프트웨어중심대학사업단 가치확산센터는 오는 8월부터 초·중등 교원 및 교육전문직원을 대상으로 ‘수업에 직접 활용 가능한 인공지능 활용 및 코딩 기초, 원격교육 역량강화 직무연수’를 운영할 예정이다.

이번 사업으로 소프트웨어융합대학 소속 교수들은 인공지능, 데이터 과학, 메타버스, 비대면 원격수업 등을 주제로 교육을 진행하며 소프트웨어중심대학사업단이 교육 운영비 전체를 지원해 참가자는 무료로 교육을 받을 수 있다.

  신정훈 소프트웨어중심대학사업단 책임교수는 “지난 4년간 소프트웨어중심대학 사업을 추진해오면서 다져진 교육 인프라가 좋은 평가를 받았다. 이 직무연수를 통해 현직 교원들이 인공지능, 원격수업 역량을 높여 학생들도 자연스럽게 이 분야의 지식을 함양하게 될 것으로 기대한다.”고 말했다.
