【브레이크뉴스 문경】이성현 기자= 지난 1월 31일 발생한 경북 문경시 육가공 제조업체 화재 현장에서 인명구조 중 불의의 사고로 순직한 문경소방서 119구조구급센터 소속 故 김수광 소방장, 박수훈 소방교의 영결식이 3일 경상북도청葬으로 엄수됐다.

영결식은 묵념과 고인들의 약력 보고, 1계급 특진 추서, 훈장추서, 조전 낭독, 영결사, 조사, 고인께 올리는 글, 헌화 및 분향 순으로 경상북도지사, 소방청장, 국회의원, 경상북도의원, 유가족 및 소방공무원 등 1,000여 명이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.

이날 영결식은 경상북도 소방본부에서 운영하는 유튜브 “119안방”을 통해서도 생중계됐다.

이철우 경상북도지사가 故 김수광, 박수훈 소방교에게 1계급 특전을 추서하고 남화영 소방청장이 옥조근정훈장을 추서했다.

윤석열 대통령은 조전을 보내 “장래가 촉망되는 젊은 두 소방관을 화마 속에서 잃어 안타까운 마음을 금할 길이 없다” 며 “ 공동체와 국민의 생명을 지키기 위해 긴박하고 위험한 화재 현장에 뛰어든 고인들의 희생과 헌신을 국가는 절대 잊지 않겠습니다” 고 했다.

장례위원장을 맞은 이철우 경상북도 도지사는 영결사를 통해 “故 김수광 소방장과 박수훈 소방교는 사람을 구하는 것을 사명으로 여기는 성실하고 책임감이 강한 동료였다” 며 “경상북도는 고귀한 희생이 헛되지 않도록 현장의 근무환경을 더욱 살피고 소방관의 안전을 위협하는 요소는 더 이상 용납하지 않겠다”고 말했다.

아울러 “소방공무원들도 우리의 자식이고, 형제이기에, 모든 국민의 안전이 지켜질 때 대한민국이 안전하다고 자신 있게 말할 수 있다”며 “따스한 바람으로, 눈비로, 꽃으로...꼭 한번 찾아와 모두의 슬픔을 달래주시길 소망한다”며 영웅들의 가는 길을 함께했다.

이후 故 김수광 소방장, 박수훈 소방교의 동료인 문경소방서 119구조구급센터 소속 윤인규 소방사의 조사가 이어졌다.

윤 소방사는 “그날 밤 여느 때와 다름없이 화재 출동 벨소리에 한 치의 망설임 없이 현장으로 뛰어갔던 늠름한 뒷모습이 아직도 눈에 선합니다” 며 “하늘은 뭐가 그리 급해서 두 분을 빨리 데려가는 건지 도무지 이해되지 않습니다.”라며 깊은 아쉬움을 나타냈다. 그러면서 “반장님들이 그러했듯이, 내일부터 우리는 다시 일상으로 돌아가 도움이 필요한 모든 사람에게 달려갈 것입니다. 그리고 최선을 다해 그들의 생명을 지켜낼 것입니다”라고 위로했다.

김수광 소방장의 친구는 고인께 올리는 글을 통해 “다음 생에는 희생하며 사는 인생보단 너를 먼저 생각하고 너의 행복, 가족, 친구들을 생각하고 더욱 행복했으면 좋겠다”고 했다.

박수훈 소방교의 친구는 “이 시간이 끝나고 시간이 흐르면 사람들에게 잊혀 과거로 남겠지만 나는 끝까지 기억하고 추억하며 잊지 않으며 살겠습니다” 고 마지막 인사를 전했다.

한편, 故 김수광 소방장, 박수훈 소방교는 지난 1월 31일 발생한 경북 문경시 소재 육가공업체 공장 화재 현장에 가장 먼저 도착하여 공장 내부에서 인명 수색을 하다가 건물이 붕괴되 탈출하지 못하고 순직했다.
