【브레이크뉴스 안동】이성현 기자=안동시의회(의장 김경도)는 8일 의장실에서 안동시수어통역센터와 2025년도 본회의 수어통역 방송 업무를 위한 업무 협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

시의회는 청각장애인의 알권리 증진과 의정참여 기회를 확보하고, 본회의 회의 내용에 대한 수어통역 방송을 실시간으로 송출하고자 안동시수어통역센터와 매년 계약을 추진하고 있다.

경북 도내 22개 기초의회 중 안동시의회는 청각장애인을 위한 수어통역 방송을 가장 먼저 시작했으며, 매년 장애인의 정보접근성을 높이기 위해 노력하고 있다.

이번 협약에서는 올바른 수어통역서비스 환경이 제공될 수 있도록 수어통역사의 수당 등을 조정했으며, 2월 올해 첫 임시회를 시작으로 11월 20일 제2차 정례회까지 모든 본회의에 수어통역을 실시하게 된다.

김경도 의장은“매년 고생하는 안동시수어통역사 분들에게 감사의 말씀을 드리며, 수어통역 방송을 통해 농아인의 의정활동 참여기회를 확대하고 언제나 안동시민에게 한 발 더 다가가는 의회가 되겠다”라고 말했다.

In this agreement, the allowances for sign language interpreters were adjusted so that a proper sign language interpretation service environment could be provided, and sign language interpretation will be provided for all plenary sessions starting with the first extraordinary session of this year in February and continuing until the second regular session on November 20.
