이날 간담회에는 경제도시위원회 소속 의원을 비롯해 소관 부서 담당자, 안동농협 관계자, 안동시 친환경농업인협회 송왕규 회장과 회원 등 40여 명이 참석해 현장의 목소리를 공유했다.

간담회에서는 최근 친환경쌀 수매 과정에서 제기되고 있는 다양한 애로사항을 중심으로 수매 구조의 문제점과 개선 필요성, 안정적인 판로 확보 방안, 친환경농업의 지속 가능성을 높이기 위한 행정·제도적 지원 방안 등에 대해 폭넓은 의견 교환이 이뤄졌다.

김상진 위원장은 “친환경쌀 재배는 안동 농업의 지속 가능성과 직결된 중요한 과제”라며 “현장의 어려움이 반복되지 않도록 수매 구조와 행정 지원 전반을 면밀히 점검하고, 농업인들이 체감할 수 있는 개선책 마련에 위원회가 적극 나서겠다”고 밝혔다.

경제도시위원회는 이번 간담회에서 수렴한 의견을 토대로 관계 부서 및 유관기관과의 협의를 강화하고, 안동시 친환경쌀 재배 환경 개선과 친환경농업 활성화를 위한 실질적인 정책 대안 마련에 나설 방침이다.

한편, 위원회는 앞으로도 주요 농업 현안에 대해 현장 중심의 소통을 이어가며, 농업인과 함께 정책을 점검·보완해 나가는 의정활동을 지속할 계획이다.
