【브레이크뉴스 안동】이성현 기자=안동시의회(의장 김경도)는 4월 11일 오전 11시 30분, 시의회 의장실에서 2024회계연도 결산검사위원 위촉식을 열고 본격적인 결산검사에 착수했다.

이날 위촉된 결산검사위원은 대표위원인 김정림 시의원을 비롯해 세무와 회계 분야의 전문성을 갖춘 변창호 세무사, 우영제 세무사, 이윤수 공인회계사 등 총 4명이다.

결산검사는 한 해 동안 집행된 예산이 시의회에서 승인한 목적에 부합하게 사용되었는지를 점검하는 절차로, 재정 운용의 성과와 문제점을 분석해 향후 예산 편성과 집행의 효율성을 높이기 위한 기초 자료로 활용된다.

검사위원들은 이날부터 오는 30일까지 20일간 안동시 각 부서 및 산하 기관이 제출한 결산 서류를 면밀히 검토하며, 예산이 투명하고 합리적으로 집행되었는지를 중점적으로 확인할 예정이다.

대표위원으로 선임된 김정림 의원은 “결산검사는 시민의 소중한 세금이 올바르게 사용되었는지를 확인하는 중요한 과정”이라며, “검사를 통해 예산 집행의 건전성과 효율성을 높이기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 강조했다.

김경도 의장은 위촉식에서 “결산검사가 시 재정의 투명성과 신뢰도를 높이는 중요한 기회가 되길 바란다”며, “시민이 믿고 의지할 수 있는 행정 구현을 위해 꼼꼼하고 철저한 검토를 당부드린다”고 밝혔다.

안동시의회는 이번 결산검사 결과를 바탕으로 2025년도 예산안 심사에 실질적인 반영이 이뤄질 수 있도록 행정적 피드백과 제도 개선에도 적극 나설 계획이다.
