혁신제품 시범구매 사업은 조달청이 기술력과 우수성을 인정받은 혁신 제품을 직접 구매해 공공기관에 시범 적용하는 제도다. 경산시는 지난해 12월 신청서를 제출한 이후 적극적인 대응을 이어온 결과, 올해 2월 최종 선정되는 성과를 거뒀다.
이번 사업 선정으로 경산시는 약 1억 3천만 원 상당의 제품 비용을 전액 국비로 지원받게 돼 시 예산 절감 효과를 크게 높였다. 특히 해당 제품은 전국에서 단 2개 지자체만 선정된 것으로 알려져, 경산시의 선제적 행정 대응과 국비 확보 노력이 더욱 주목받고 있다.
도입되는 ‘변위 대응형 밸브실’은 지반이 불균형하게 침하되는 부등침하 현상에도 유연하게 대응할 수 있도록 설계된 구조로, 기존 밸브실에 비해 배관 보호 성능이 뛰어난 것이 특징이다.
경산시는 향후 조달청과 업무협약을 체결한 뒤, 상수관망 현대화 사업 구간 중 수압이 과도하게 높아 감압밸브 설치가 필요한 지역을 중심으로 해당 밸브실을 우선 적용할 계획이다.
조현일 경산시장은 “이번 공모 선정으로 시 예산 부담 없이 꼭 필요한 혁신 제품을 도입하게 됐다”며 “앞으로도 상수도관 보호와 유수율 개선을 통해 경산시 상수도 경영 개선에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
