경산시는 공모 신청 단계에서 산업재해 예방을 핵심 과제로 설정하고 이를 중심으로 구체적인 실행계획을 수립한 점에서 높은 평가를 받아 최종 선정됐다.
이번 사업은 경산시 노사민정협의회를 중심으로 지역 사업장의 산업재해 예방과 안전한 근로환경 조성을 목표로 추진된다. 주요 내용은 △산업안전 관리 실태조사 △경산형 안심-온(safe-on) 패키지 사업 △중대재해 Zero 캠페인 △안전 실무교육 등이다.
시는 이번 사업을 통해 관내 사업장의 안전관리 수준을 체계적으로 점검하고, 노사민정 협력을 기반으로 예방 중심의 안전문화 정착을 유도할 방침이다.
이도형 경산시장 권한대행 부시장은 “노사민정 간 긴밀한 소통과 협력을 통해 산업현장의 사고와 갈등에 선제적으로 대응하겠다”며 “안정적인 지역 고용·노동 기반 구축에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편 경산시는 노동법률상담소와 외국인 근로자 상담소 운영을 비롯해 취약 노동자 일터 개선 지원, 외국인 기숙사 환경 개선 사업 등 다양한 정책을 추진하며 근로환경 개선에 힘쓰고 있다.
