이번 회의는 전날 열린 조지연 국회의원과의 간담회에서 논의된 사항의 실행력을 높이기 위해 마련됐으며, 사업별 쟁점 사항과 추진 방안을 소관 부서장들과 공유했다.

회의에서는 미래 첨단 신산업 육성을 위한 산업 생태계 조성 방안과 관련 인증기관 유치, 산업단지 특성화 전략 등이 중점적으로 논의됐다. 또한 로봇 등 신산업 분야 기업 간담회를 개최해 기업 정책 수요를 파악하고 정부 공모사업 대응 방안을 마련해 나가기로 했다.

이와 함께 시민 교통편의 증진을 위한 수요 기반 탄력적 버스 운행 확대와 문화·예술 인프라 확충, 시민 여가·휴식 공간 확대, 생활환경 개선 등 시민 생활과 직결된 주요 현안과 중장기 사업 추진 방향도 폭넓게 점검했다.

조현일 경산시장은 “국회의원 간담회에서 논의된 주요 사업들이 실질적인 성과로 이어질 수 있도록 부서별 추진 상황을 면밀히 관리해야 한다”며 “국비 사업 발굴과 정부 공모 대응에 적극 나서는 한편 미래 신산업 육성과 시민 생활과 직결된 주요 현안 사업들이 차질 없이 추진될 수 있도록 행정력을 집중해 달라”고 말했다.

한편 경산시는 전략회의에서 도출된 사업들을 신속히 추진하기 위해 주 단위로 추진 상황을 점검하고, 시행된 사업은 시민 만족도 피드백을 반영해 지속적으로 보완해 나갈 계획이다.
