국민의힘 유승민 대선 후보는 비리 의혹이 쏟아지고 있는 대장동 사건과 관련해 “이재명 지사는 말장난 그만하고 특검과 국정조사를 받아야 한다”고 주장했다. 또, 거부할시엔 자신이 대통령이 되어 비리 연루자 모두를 감옥에 보내겠다고 말했다.

그는 “화천대유 게이트의 설계자인 이 지사가 앞으로 보일 행보는 불 보듯 뻔하다. 자신과 화천대유 일당의 치부를 드러내는 기사가 나올 때마다 물타기를 할 것”이라면서 “법조계와 야당뿐 아니라 여당에서도 연루자가 쏟아져 나올 것”이라고 전망했다.

그는 이 썩은 게이트를 파헤쳐야 하는 이유로 청렴영생을 외치는 자에게 속은 국민이 가장 큰 피해를 입기 때문이라고 했다. 그러면서 “이 지사와 민주당이 특검과 국정조사를 끝내 거부한다면 유승민이 대통령이 되어 이 추악한 게이트에 관련된 모든 불법 비리 범죄자들을 전원 싹 쓸어서 감옥에 보내겠다”고 말했다. 

유 후보는 “이 지사가 대장동 개발사업에서 환수했다고 자랑해온 1,830억원도 저소득층 몫으로 남겨놓았던 임대아파트 부지를 민간에게 판 수익이라고 하는데, 서민들 주거복지를 강탈해놓고 그걸 자랑하는 뻔뻔한 자들이 진짜 도적 아니냐”고 주장했다. 그러면서 “국민들이 이걸 두고 이재명 게이트인지, 국민의힘 게이트인지 묻는데, 이제 이 지사가 답해야 한다”고 재차 강조했다. 

유 의원은 “국민의힘도 그 누가 연루됐든 철저하게 조사받고 죄가 있다면 벌을 받겠다”고 말하면서 “그러니 이 지사와 민주당도 특검과 국정조사를 당장 받아야 한다. 그것이 민심의 요구다. 거리낄 것이 없다면서 피하는 이유가 이상하지 않느냐”고 의문을 제기했다.

Candidate Yoo said, “The 183 billion won that Governor Lee has been boasting about having recovered from the Daejang-dong development project is said to be the profit from selling the rental apartment site, which he had left for the low-income class, to the private sector. ” he asserted. "People are asking whether this is the Lee Jae-myung gate or the people's power gate," he said again, adding, "Now the governor has to answer." "The people's power will be thoroughly investigated regardless of who is involved, and if there is a crime, I will be punished," Yoo said. That is the demand of the people. Isn't it strange that they avoid it because there is nothing to be afraid of?"
