영천시의회 산업건설위원회(위원장 이갑균)는 2일 제220회 제2차 정례회 행정사무감사 기간 중 지역 현안 및 민원 사항 점검을 위해 현장방문을 실시했다고 밝혔다.
이날 의원들은 시 관련부서 공무원들이 참석한 가운데 토석채취 사업장, 가연성 생활쓰레기위탁처리업체, 영천하이테크파크지구 사업현장을 차례로 방문해 현황을 청취하고 문제점 등을 점검했다.
의원들은 먼저 북안면 용계리 소재 토석채취 사업장을 방문해 불법 산림훼손, 토사유출방지를 위한 배수로 설치, 비산먼지등 방지 시설 설치, 훼손된구역에 대한 원상복구 등 관계법령의 준수 및 의무사항 이행여부 등을 확인했다.
특히, 토석채취 사업의 특성상 인근 주민이 소음·진동·비산먼지 등에 노출됨에 따라 많은 민원이 제기되므로 주민 불편을 해소하고, 승인받은 복구계획서에 따라 적정하게 복구가 추진되고 있는지 철저히 지도·감독해 줄 것을 관련 부서에 요구했다.
이어서 도남동 소재 가연성 생활쓰레기 위탁처리업체를 방문해 소각처리 과정과 운영상황을 직접 살펴보고 소각과정에서 악취 및 중금속 등 대기오염물질 배출되지 않도록 철저히 관리해 줄 것을 당부했다.
마지막으로 녹전동 및 화산면 대기리 일원 영천하이테크파크지구 조성사업현장을 방문해 사업추진 상황을 살펴보고 공사에 따른 소음, 분진, 오폐수처리 등으로 주민피해가 발생하지 않도록 사업 추진에 만전을 기해 줄 것을 부탁했다.
