김영만 군위군수ㄷ가 25일 대통령직인수위원회를 방문해 윤석열 당선인을 만나 군위군 대구시 편입의 조속 추진을 건의했다.

김 군수는 윤 당선인의 당선을 축하하면서 당선인에 대한 전국 1위의 투표율과 전국 1위 지지율을 보낸 군위군민의 기대와 열망을 전했다.

김 군수는 “군위군의 대구편입은 지역사회의 합의를 통해 지역정치권에서 제안하고 동의한 것으로 대구·경북 상생발전을 위한 통합 신공항 건설의 전제”임을 강조해 설명했다. 

또한, “편입 관련 법안이 국회에서 지연되고 있는 일련의 과정을 설명하고 당선인의 공약인 ‘대구·경북 통합 신공항 조기 건설’을 위해서는 대구편입이 반드시 필요하다“고 호소했다.

이에 대하여 윤 당선인은 군위군민의 지지에 대한 감사 인사를 전하며 차기 정부에서 통합 신공항의 조속 추진을 약속했다. 특히, 차질을 빚고 있는 대구편입에 대해서는 배석한 정희용 국회의원(고령,성주,칠곡)에게 당차원에서 협의해 잘 해결해 줄 것을 지시했다.

김 군수는 이어 김병준 지역균형발전특별위원장을 별도로 만나 대구편입에 대해 의견을 거듭 나눴다. 김 위원장은 군위군 대구편입이 조속히 해결되어야 한다는 데 입장을 같이했다고 군위군은 밝혔다.

In response, President-elect Yoon expressed his gratitude for the support of the military and military people and promised to promote the integrated new airport as soon as possible in the next government. In particular, regarding the transfer to Daegu, which was causing setbacks, he instructed lawmakers Jeong Hee-yong (Koryeong, Seongju, and Chilgok), who was present, to discuss and resolve the problem at the party level.
