지방자치단체 합동평가는 행정안전부와 중앙부처가 공동으로 17개 시·도의 국가위임사무, 국가보조사업 및 국가 주요시책 등에 대한 추진성과를 평가하는 정부 차원의 유일한 자치단체 종합평가이다
총 104개 지표(정량지표 84개, 정성지표 20개)에 대해, 시·도간 상호검증과 중앙부처·시도·합동평가단의 실적검증 통해 최종 결과를 발표했다.
지표별 우수사례를 선정하는 정성평가의 경우 대구시는 20개 지표 중 12건이 우수사례로 선정되며 전국 1위의 성적을 거두었으며 뒤를 이어 대전(10건), 울산(7건)의 순으로 나타났다.
대표적인 우수사례로는 자원봉사 활성화 추진 우수사례(기후 대응 자원봉사 생태시티즌십 시민참여로 그린대구 만들기), 여성폭력 방지 및 피해자 지원체계 구축·개선 우수사례(시민과 함께하는 성매매제로 대구 만들기), 목재이용 우수사례(목재친화, 탄소중립 선도도시 GREEN WOOD CITY 대구) 등이다
권영진 대구시장은 “코로나19로 모두가 어려운 여건 속에서도 시와 8개 구·군이 함께 협력해 보다 나은 시정혁신을 위해 최선을 다한 결과다”며 “앞으로도 다른 지자체와 차별화된 시책과 사업을 지속적으로 추진해 시민이 공감하고 만족하는 행정서비스를 제공하는 데 모든 역량을 집중하겠다”고 밝혔다.
