지난 14일 대학교 총학생회가 코로나19로 중단됐던 ‘화합의 장’ 행사를 3년 만에 대구 팔공산 일원에서 개최한 가운데 재학생과 졸업동문 및 그 가족과 교직원 등 전국에서 300여 명이 참석해 의미를 더했다.

개교 20주년을 맞이해 열린 행사에서 영진사이버대는 ‘재취업 온라인 사관학교’ 비전을 공유하고 선후배, 사제 간 화합과 소통하는 시간을 가졌다.

특히 참가자들은 팔공산 방짜유기 박물관에서 북지장사까지 팔공산 둘레길 왕복 4km를 함께 걸으며 환경정화 활동도 펼쳤다.

행사를 준비한 제21대 총학생회 안윤기 회장(사회복지계열)과 설리아 부회장(뷰티케어학과)은 “정말 오랜만에 선후배와 동기 학우들, 나아가 동문 가족들과 교수님이 5월의 싱그러운 날씨 속에 함께 해 우의를 다지는 소중한 좋은 시간이 됐다”면서“코로나로 힘들었던 지친 일상을 이번 기회로 훌훌 털고, 다시 희망을 향해 증진해 나갈 우리 학우들을 응원한다”고  말했다.

조방제 총장은 “코로나19 거리두기로 모이기 힘들었던 상황에서 오랜만에 선배와 후배, 스승과 제자, 재학생과 졸업생이 한자리에 모여 화합하며, 서로의 마음을 열고, 따뜻한 동기애, 동문의 사랑을 가슴에 담는 소중한 기회가 되기를 바란다”며 참가자들을 격려했다.
