【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=영진전문대학교(총장 최재영)가 ‘2023학년도 마이스터대학 전문기술석사과정’의 신입생을 선발한다고 2일 밝혔다.

영진전문대는 지난 2021년 대구·경북지역 전문대학으로는 유일하게 ‘마이스터대 시범운영 사업’운영기관으로 선정되어 2년 동안 46억 2천만 원을 투자해 신산업과 연계한 금형교육시스템 등 전국 전문대학 최고의 교육시스템을 구축했다고 전했다.

해당 사업은 교육부 핵심 사업으로 영진전문대는 이를 통해‘신산업과 연계한 초정밀금형 마이스터대 과정’을 인가받아 ‘정밀기계공학과(2년제)’를 운영하고 있다. 이 가운데 대학은 오는 1월 27일까지 전문기술석사과정의 신입생을 모집한다고 밝혔다.

‘전문기술석사과정’은 고숙련 전문기술인재 육성을 위해 산업체 3년 경력이 있는 직장인 또는 일반인들을 대상으로 업무능력 향상 및 계속교육(Work to school)의 기회 확대를 통해 우수한 전문 기술인을 양성한다. 이 과정 졸업자는 정규 공학석사 학위를 취득한다.

올해 영진전문대의 전문기술석사과정 신입생 선발인원은 총 30명으로 입학하는 신입생에게는 전체 학기 수업료 30% 감면 장학 혜택이 주어진다.

정밀기계공학과(2년제)’는 산업체 현장 재직자 등이 참여하는 학업의 편의를 위해 매주 1차례인 수요일 오후 5시부터 수업을 진행할 예정이다.

안상욱 교수(AI융합기계계열 부장)는 “마이스터급 고숙련 전문기술인재 양성으로 지역 산업 발전을 도모하고 나아가 금형산업의 글로벌화에도 기여할 수 있도록 교육에 최선을 다하겠다”고 했다.
