4일 경북소방본부와 경찰 등에 따르면 이날 새벽 2시 20분쯤 안동시 옥동 화인빌딩 앞 노상에서 A씨(22)가 휘두른 흉기에 B 씨(24,포항시)가 목을 찔려 숨진 것으로 알려진다.

경찰 조사 결과 A씨와 B씨는 술을 마시던 중 시비가 발생해 몸싸움을 하다가 A씨가 인근 편의점에서 공업용 커터칼을 구입해 B씨에게 휘두른 것으로 파악됐다.

당시 인근에 있던 간호사 C씨가 현장을 목격하고 119 도착까지 B씨에게 삼폐소생술을 시도했으나 끝내 숨졌다.

경찰은 현장에서 A 씨를 긴급체포해 정확한 사고 경위를 조사 중이다.
