【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=사흘째 이어진 경북 의성 산불이 안동으로 번지면서 주민들의 우려가 커지고 있다.

24일 산림청 중앙사고수습본부에 따르면 오후 3시 기준 의성 산불 진화율은 65％다. 

안평면·안계면 2곳에서 시작된 불씨는 강한 바람을 타고 동·북쪽 방면으로 20여㎞ 떨어진 의성·점곡·옥산면으로 번졌고 오후 4시 10분께 안동시 길안면 현하리 야산으로까지 확산됐다.

당국은 헬기 60대, 인력 2728명, 차량 425대를 투입해 진화에 온 힘을 다하고 있지만 건조한 날씨와 바람 때문에 난항을 겪고 있다.

산림청 중앙사고수습본부 관계자는 “진화 헬기 및 진화 인력 등 가용한 자원을 총동원해 주불 진화와 인명 및 민가 피해 방지에 총력을 다할 계획”이라고 말했다.

An official from the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters of the Korea Forest Service said, “We plan to mobilize all available resources, including firefighting helicopters and firefighting personnel, to extinguish the fire and prevent damage to people and houses.”
