【브레이크뉴스 의성】진예솔 기자=경북 의성군에서 시작된 산불의 주불 진화가 완료됐다.

산림당국은 28일 오후 2시 30분 영덕지역을 시작으로 5시부로 의성, 안동, 청송, 영양 지역의 모든 주불이 진화됐다고 밝혔다.

이번 산불을 진화하기 위해 하루에 평균 88대 이상의 헬기가 동원됐다. 그러나 산불 발생 기간 서풍 중심의 강하고 건조한 바람이 불어 순간 최대풍속이 초속 27m를 기록했다. 

또한 높은 기온으로 건조한 날씨가 계속되면서 불이 옮겨 붙기 쉬운 환경이 조성돼 진화의 어려움을 겪었다.

이로 인해 총 24명의 안타까운 인명피해와 2,412개소의 시설피해가 발생했다.

산림당국은 각 시‧군별로 2-5대의 산불진화헬기를 남겨놓고 잔불 진화를 최대한 지원할 계획이다.

경북도는 피해복구에 전념할 방침이다. 피해지역 5개 시‧군 주민 약 27만 명으로 각 30만원의 재난지원금을 지급한다.
