산림당국은 28일 낮 12시 기준 산불피해를 입은 5개 지역 평균 진화율은 94%라고 밝혔다. 어제 오후 대비 31% 증가한 수치다.

지난밤 내린 비로 연무가 적어지면서 시야 확보가 유리하고 기온이 낮아져 산불 진화에 유리하게 작용 한 것으로 보인다.

특히 화재가 시작된 의성의 진화율은 98%로 완진을 목전에 두고 있다. 안동은 90%, 청송 91%, 영양 95%, 영덕 93% 진화율을 기록했다.

산불영향구역은 4만5157ha로 전체화선 928㎞ 중 871㎞에 대한 진화가 완료됐다.
