【브레이크뉴스 의성】진예솔 기자=경북 산불 진화현장에 투입됐다가 실종됐던 산불감시원이 복귀 중에 사망했다.

산림당국은 27일 오전 11시께 경북 영덕군 영덕읍 매정리 인근에서 사망한 산불감시원 A씨를 발견했다고 밝혔다.

A씨는 지난 25일 저녁 8시 30분께 영덕 군민회관에서 자택방향으로 복귀하던 중 도로에서 불길에 휩싸인 것으로 추정된다.

임상섭 산림청장은 “산불전문예방진화대원에 대해 깊은 애도를 표하며, 산불진화대의 안전에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

A forest fire watchman who went missing after being deployed to a forest fire in Gyeongbuk Province died while returning.

The forest authorities announced that they found forest fire watchman A, who died, near Maejeong-ri, Yeongdeok-eup, Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province at around 11:00 AM on the 27th.
