【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=경북 의성에서 발생한 산불이 진화 작업에 진척을 보이지 못하고 있다.

산림당국은 26일 오후 7시 기준 청송, 영양, 영덕지역 산불영향구역을 16,019ha이며 봉화, 경주지역 산불영향구역은 13ha로 진화를 완료한 상태라고 밝혔다.

의성과 안동은 넓은 면적에 화재가 발생하면서 조사량이 많아 산불영향구역 파악에 어려움을 겪고 있다.

이날 당국은 진화헬기 총 87대, 진화인력 5,421명, 진화차량 656대 등 가용 가능한 진화자원을 총동원했다.

그러나 건조한 날씨와 강한 바람의 영향으로 산불 진화 작업은 더디게 이뤄지고 있다.

현재까지 파악된 인명피해는 안동 4명, 청송 3명, 영양 6명, 영덕 8명으로 총 21명이다. 이외에도 진화 작업중이던 헬기가 추락해 조종사 A씨가 사망했다.

당국은 야간 산불진화를 전개를 위해 산불특수진화대 및 시‧군 진화대원 등 총 3,333명을 투입한다.

병산서원 등 주요시설물 주변에는 산불확산 지연제인 리타던트를 살포해 산불확산을 저지할 계획이다.
