7일 김태한 예비후보는 “정부의 의사 증원 정책을 지방의 의료사각지대 해소를 위한 기회로 삼아야 한다”며 “지역민의 의료서비스 향상을 위해 지역대학교에 의과대학이 되도록 적극 나설 것”이라고 밝혔다.

김 예비후보는 “비슷한 인구를 보유한 대구에는 의과대학이 4곳이나 있는 반면 경북은 한 곳 뿐인데 그마저 병원은 대구에 있다”고 지적했다.

그러면서 “의성, 청송, 영덕은 타 지역에 비해 의료시설이 부족하고 종합병원은 아예 없어 사실상 의료사각지대라고 할 수 있다”며 “경북도, 안동대학교 뿐만 아니라 인근 지자체 및 지역 의료계와도 협력해 의과대를 유치하고 지역민 의료서비스 향상에 기여하겠다”고 약속했다.

이와 함께 그는 “농민들이 무인화와 첨단화된 다양한 영농기술을 신속히 습득하고 현장에서 즉각 활용할 수 있도록 다각적인 지원책을 강구하겠다”는 농업분야 공약을 전했다.

김태한 예비후보는 “스마트팜 농법이 대세를 이루고 있지만 한쪽에서는 노지 스마트팜 농법이 진행되고 있다”면서 “저비용 고효율의 농법이 있는데도 불구하고 정보나 기술이전이 늦어 고비용 저효율의 농법에 매달리는 오류가 발생해서는 안된다”고 말했다.

그러면서 “기술 속도와 활용 방법을 실시간으로 공유하고 농업기술센터 등을 통해 신속히 전수될 수 있는 방안을 모색하고 로봇 드론 등 ICT AI 등을 활용한 실질적인 영농기술도 효율적이고 체계적으로 운용되도록 관련 규정을 개정해 나갈 것”이라며 “그 과정에서 발생하는 경제적 부담과 환경적 장애를 제거하고 기술이전과 전수가 용이 하도록 다양한 지원책을 마련하겠다”고 강조했다.
