이는 민주당이 대장동 게이트 등 이재명 대표가 연루된 사건을 담당한 검사들과 민주당 전당대회 돈 봉투 사건을 수사한 검사 등 4명에 대해 탄핵소추안을 발의한 것을 비판하고 항의하기 위해 마련되었다.

박 의원은 6일 의성 북원로터리를 시작으로 오후에는 청송군청 사거리, 영덕읍 사거리에서 각각 피켓시위를 하며 민주당의 정치보복성 검사탄핵을 규탄했고, 다음날인 7일에는 울진읍장에서 피켓시위를 하며 시장을 찾은 주민들에게 홍보전단지를 배포했다. 

박형수 의원과 함께 의성·청송·영덕·울진 지역 군·도 의원은 물론 당원들도 피켓시위와 홍보전단지 배부에 함께 참여하여 민주당의 폭거에 항의했다. 

박 의원은 “민주당의 검사탄핵은 삼권분립 원칙을 위반하여 헌정질서를 유린하고 국기를 문란케하는 것”이라면서 “피고인측이 검사를 조사하려 하는 황당한 사법파괴이며 오로지 이재명 대표를 살리기 위한 보복성 탄핵으로 불법적인 사법방해에 해당한다”라고 말했다.

이어 “민주당의 일방적인 입법독재는 결국 민심의 거대한 저항에 직면하게 될 것”이라며 “민주당은 즉시 무분별한 특검정치, 탄핵정치, 막가파식 정치에서 벗어나 여야간 대화와 타협의 장으로 나올 것을 강력히 촉구한다”고 말했다.
