【브레이크뉴스 경북 】이성현 기자=국민의힘 경북도당 공천관리위원회(위원장 김정재)는 4일 제 12차 회의를 갖고 경북 상주시장 후보 등 5개 지역에 대한 후보추천을 마무리했다. 

공관위는 상주시장에는 강영석 현 시장을 공천하고 문경시장에는 신현국 전 시장을 추천했다. 군수후보로는 울릉에 정성환, 영양 오도창, 군위 김진열 후보를 각각 확정했다. 군위군수의 경우, 현 김영만 군수가 경선 불참을 선언해 김진열 후보가 자동 확정됐다. 

공관위는 칠곡군수 선거와 관련해서는 이날 결정을 내리지 못하고 중앙당 공관위에 심사를 요쳥하기로 했다. 또 같은 여론조사 논란이 일고 있는 청송은 7~8일 경선을 실시할 방침이다.

경북공관위는 나머지  포항, 영주, 의성, 영덕의 기초단체장 후보 경선을 오는 6일과 7일 실시하기로 함에 따라 이들 지역 발표는 8일 이후 있을 것으로 전망된다.
