21일 오전 영주시선관위를 찾아 후보 등록을 마친 임 후보는 “4월10일 총선에서 반드시 승리하겠다”며 의지를 밝혔다.

그는 “현 정부의 2년은 여소야대 국회로 법안 하나 제대로 통과시킬 수 없었다”며“야당의 반대로 정부의 개혁안은 번번이 발목을 잡혔다”고 말했다. 

그러면서 “다가오는 총선은 윤석열 정부의 운명을 가름할 중차대한 선거로 영주·영양·봉화 주민들의 압도적인 성원만이 개혁을 완성할 수 있다”고 지지를 호소했다.

또한 임종득 후보는 “지금까지 많은 준비를 해왔다. 지역주민들의 여망도 잘 알고 있다”며“4월10일 총선에서 반드시 승리해 지역과 국가의 발전에 이바지하겠다”고 각오를 다졌다.

앞서 그는 ▶기업 유치를 통한 일자리 창출 ▶사통팔달 SOC사업 조기 건설 ▶경북 북부지역 관광벨트 구축 ▶지역주민 소외 없는 복지 확대 ▶농업 경쟁력 확보 인프라 구축을 5대 공약으로 내세웠다.

임종득 후보는 영주시 이산면 출생으로 육사 42기, (전)박근혜정부 청와대 국방비서관, (전)윤석열 대통령실 국가안보실 제2차장 등을 역임했다.

Previously, he set out five major pledges: ▶creating jobs by attracting companies ▶early construction of SOC projects in all directions ▶establishing a tourism belt in the northern Gyeongbuk region ▶expanding welfare without alienating local residents ▶building infrastructure to secure agricultural competitiveness.

Candidate Lim Jong-deuk was born in Isan-myeon, Yeongju-si, and served as a member of the 42nd class of the Korean Military Academy, former Secretary of National Defense at the Blue House under the Park Geun-hye administration, and second deputy director of the National Security Office in the Presidential Office Yoon Seok-yeol.
