【브레이크뉴스 대구 】박은정 기자=대구 수성구청(구청장 김대권) 여자태권도선수단은 최근 수성구민운동장에 위치한 선수단 훈련장에서 다문화가족 아이들을 대상으로 태권도 재능기부를 했다고 12일 밝혔다.
이번 재능기부는 평소 지역사회에 보탬이 되고 싶다는 선수단의 뜻을 모아 상대적으로 기회가 부족한 지역 다문화가족 아이들에게 태권도 체험을 통한 심신수련 및 다양한 진로선택의 기회를 제공하고자 마련됐다.
이날 행사는 다문화가족 6세부터 12세까지의 아이들 10여명을 초청해 약 1시간 30분정도 태권도 체험 프로그램을 진행했다.
대한민국 국기인 태권도에 대한 소개와 기본 발차기 동작을 지도했고 특히 전자호구를 활용한 겨루기 체험을 실시해 아이들의 큰 호응을 받았다.
김대권 수성구청장은 “선수들이 재능기부를 통해 태권도 저변 확대에 기여하고 친근한 이미지로 지역사회와 상생 발전할 수 있도록 다양한 프로그램을 지원 하겠다”고 밝혔다.
