계명대(총장 신일희) 학생들이 창작 동화책을 만들어 지역 아동복지시설에 기부해 큰 호응을 얻고 있다.

계명대는 1월 3일부터 6일까지 총 100세트의 동화책을 달서구와 달성군 소재 지역아동센터와 복지관 등에 전달했다.

  계명대 문예창작학과, 유아교육학전공, 국어국문학전공, 미술대학 등의 학생들은 재능기부를 통해 봉사와 나눔의 교훈을 담은 창작 5개의 창작동화를 만들어 2권의 책으로 엮었다.

동화책 제작은 계명대 대구경북사회혁신지원단에서 실시한 ‘상상의 동산, 동화책 만들기 프로젝트’의 일환으로 계명카리타스봉사단 학생들은 지난해 6월부터 스토리, 삽화 등의 재능기부로 나눔과 봉사에 동참했다.

  동화책 제작에 참여한 간호학과 김혜란 학생은 “동화책 만들기를 통해 소외된 지역 아동들을 이해하고, 유대감과 보람을 느낄 수 있는 좋은 경험이었다.”며, “지역 아동들이 동화책을 통해 상상하고 꿈을 꾸고 희망을 품게 하는 계기가 되길 바란다.”고 말했다.

  동화책을 기부받은 다솜호산지역아동센터 이진숙 센터장은 “코로나19로 외부활동이 어려운 상황에서 소외된 가정의 아이들에게 동화책 발간과 배부는 지역 어린이 돌봄과 정서발달, 교육 등에 있어 반향이 적지 않다.”며, 감사의 뜻을 전했다.
