대구시는 개방형 직위 공개모집을 통해 투자유치과장 직위에 산업통상자원부 소속 김대영(42세) 서기관을 선발하고 5일 임용했다고 밝혔다.
신임 김 투자유치과장은 덕원고등학교, 연세대학교 경제학·응용통계학과를 졸업하고, 미국 텍사스 A&M 대학교에서 경제학 석사 학위를 취득했다.
2010년 행정고시를 통해 국가공무원으로 공직에 입문한 뒤 산업통상자원부 수출입과, 통상현안대응단, 반도체디스플레이과, 수소산업과 등을 거치면서 경제통상, 에너지 신산업, 산업 디지털화, 산업기술 R&D 등 산업육성과 기술개발 분야에 전문지식과 폭넓은 경험을 보유하고 있어 투자유치과장 적임자로 높은 점수를 받은 것으로 알려졌다.
대구시 관계자는 "김대영 투자유치과장 임용으로 향후 지역경제 성장을 견인할 대형 투자사업 발굴, 국내외 투자기업 유치 업무를 혁신적이고 속도감 있게 추진해 나갈 것으로 기대하고 있다."고 밝혔다.
