대구시교육청(교육감 강은희)은 2023학년도 공‧사립 중등교사 임용시험 응시원서 최종 접수 결과 응시분야별로 공립(장애인 구분모집 포함)의 경우 77명 모집에 903명이 지원해 과목별 평균 11.73대 1의 경쟁률을 기록했다고 밝혔다. 전년도 7.64대 1의 경쟁률을 기록한 것과 대비했을 때 상승한 것으로 확인된다. 

사립은 117명 모집에 901명이 지원하였으며, 평균 경쟁률은 전년도(8.09대 1)에 비해 다소 낮아진 7.70대 1을 기록했다.

공립의 경우 전년도에 비해 지원자는 줄었으나(1,146명→903명), 선발예정인원(150명→77명)이 감소하여 경쟁률이 상승한 것으로 분석된다.

경북교육청(교육감 임종식)은  2023학년도 공‧사립 중등교사 임용시험 응시원서 최종 접수 결과 응시분야별로 공립은 일반 401명 선발에 3,367명이 지원해 8.4대 1의 경쟁률을 보였으며, 장애 구분 선발 34명에 27명이 지원해 0.79대 1의 경쟁률을 기록했다고 밝혔다.

사립은 42개 법인 144명 선발에 556명이 지원해 3.86대 1의 경쟁률을 보였으며, 공립을 1순위 사립을 2순위로 지원하는 공사립 동시 지원은 1,473명이 선택했다.

경북의 경우 전년도와 대비했을 때 공립과 사립 모두 경쟁률이 소폭 상승한 것을 확인 할 수 있었다. 공립은 6.7대 1에서 1.1 증가하였고, 사립은 3.4대 1에서 0.46 증가했다.
