이는 지난 2022년 10월 민선 8기 100일을 맞아 조사한 시민 인식도 조사(56.8%)에 비해 5.5%P 상승한 수치이다. 

대구시의 중점 추진 사업 중 ‘대기업 유치’, ‘5대 미래 신산업 육성’, ‘금호강 르네상스 시대의 시작’ 순으로 긍정 평가가 높게 나왔으며 향후 발전 전망에 대해서도 절반 이상이 긍정적으로 생각한다는 결과가 나왔다.

이번 설문조사는 ㈜리서치코리아에 의뢰해 성·연령·지역별로 비례할당 후 무작위 추출된 대구시민 1,000명을 대상으로 지난 10일부터 16일까지 조사를 했다.

주요 분야별 조사 결과 대구시 민선 8기가 추진하고 있는 시정혁신과 미래 50년 사업 추진 등 전반적인 시정운영에 대한 질문에 잘하고 있다는 긍정 평가는 62.3%, 잘못하고 있다는 부정평가는 19.4%로 조사됐다.

대구시민들의 시정 관심분야는 경제·산업·일자리 분야 35.6%, 건강·보건·안전 분야 17.3%, 여성·교육·복지 분야 12.0% 순으로 높게 나왔다. 

대구 시정 운영 각 분야별 평가에서는 건강·보건·안전 분야 64.0%, 도로·교통 분야 63.9%, 환경·수자원 분야 54.6% 순으로 긍정 평가가 높게 나왔다.

또 현재 대구시 중점 추진 정책들에 대한 시민들의 의견은 세계적 가구 유통기업 ‘이케아’, 글로벌 자동차 부품 업체 ‘발레오’, 2차전지용 양극재 생산 국내 업체 ‘엘앤에프’ 등 연이은 ‘글로벌 대기업 유치’ 정책이 79.3%로 최고 평가를 받았다.

ABB(AI, 빅데이터, 블록체인) 기반의 디지털 혁신거점 조성 등 ‘대구시 5대 미래 신산업(UAM, 반도체, 로봇, 헬스케어, ABB) 육성’(76.1%), 금호강 100리 물길을 연결해 수변공간을 개발하는 ‘금호강 르네상스 시대의 시작’(73.9%) 등 민선 8기 중점 추진 사업들이 모두 60% 이상의 매우 높은 긍정 평가를 받았다.

마지막으로 대구시 미래에 대한 의견은, 조사 대상자의 55.7%가 어려운 경제여건 속에서도 대구의 미래가 나아질 것이라고 긍정적으로 응답했고, 부정적인 전망은 9.8%에 그쳤다.

홍준표 대구시장은 “이번 조사로 민선 8기 중점 추진 사업에 대한 시민들의 관심과 기대가 크다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다”며 “시민들의 기대에 부응하기 위하여 핵심사업들을 신속하게 추진하여 2023년을 대구굴기(大邱崛起)의 원년(元年)으로 만들겠다”고 밝혔다.

Daegu citizens' areas of interest in municipal administration were 35.6% in the economy/industry/jobs field, 17.3% in the health/health/safety field, and 12.0% in the women/education/welfare field.

In the evaluation of each field of Daegu municipal administration, 64.0% of health/health/safety areas, 63.9% of roads/transportation areas, and 54.6% of environment/water resources areas received high positive reviews.
