책가방 등 구입비 지원은 관내 저소득 가정 자녀 중 초등학교에 입학하는 아동을 대상으로, 입학용품에 필요한 책가방 등 물품구입비 20만원을 지원한다.

서구청은 지난 2021년부터 3년째 추진 중이며 저소득 가정 학부모들의 경제적 부담을 덜고, 새내기 예비 초등학생에게 지역사회의 따뜻한 관심과 사랑을 전달하여 아이들이 건강한 사회구성원으로 성장하는 발판을 마련하고자 기획했다.
