【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자= 대구시는 오는 10일부터 21일까지 교통안전을 위협하는 이륜자동차 불법운행에 대한 집중단속을 실시한다고 밝혔다.
교통사고 줄이기 특별대책의 일환으로 진행되는 이번 단속은 시내 주요 도로에서 구·군, 대구경찰청, 한국교통안전공단 대구경북본부 등과 합동으로 실시한다.
주요 단속 대상은 전조등 LED 및 소음기 임의변경 등의 불법 튜닝, 등화장치 임의 설치 등 안전기준 위반, 미사용신고 운행, 번호판 미부착 운행, 번호판 훼손·가림 등 ‘자동차관리법’ 위반 이륜자동차이다.
단속에서 적발되면 전조등 LED 및 소음기 등 불법 튜닝은 1년 이하의 징역 또는 1,000만 원 이하의 벌금, 등화장치 임의 설치 등 안전기준 위반은 100만 원 이하의 과태료 처분과 원상복구 명령, 번호판 훼손 및 가림은 300만 원 이하의 과태료, 미사용신고 운행 및 번호판 미부착 운행 등은 100만 원 이하의 과태료를 부과한다.
배춘식 대구광역시 교통국장은 “앞으로도 이륜자동차 교통사고를 줄이기 위해 유관기관과 지속적인 합동단속을 실시해 교통안전 확보와 이륜자동차의 안전운행 등 선진교통문화가 정착될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
