또한 서예가 율산 리홍재 선생은 배기철 후보의 선거 슬로건인 ‘멋진동구 세계적 명품도시’ 친필 격려작품을 증정하며 동구의 발전을 당부했다.

배기철 예비후보는 “동구 발전의 6대 공약을 제시함으로 동구를 세계적인 명품 도시로 반드시 만들겠다”며 “지역 현안문제를 중앙정부에 당당히 요구하여 해결하며 주민과 함께 하는 국회의원, 일 잘하는 국회의원이 되겠다”고 다짐했다.
