울진군은 ‘초경량비행장치 조종자(1종) 자격취득 교육비 지원사업’을 추진한다고 밝혔다. 이번 사업은 농업용 드론 활용 증가에 대응해 전문 조종 인력을 양성하고, 체계적인 교육을 통해 농약 비산 피해와 안전사고를 예방하기 위해 마련됐다.
지원 대상은 공고일 기준 울진군에 주소를 두고 실제 농업에 종사하는 만 19세 이상 70세 미만 농업인으로, 농업경영체 등록을 완료한 경우에 한해 총 10명 내외를 선발할 예정이다.
교육비는 국토교통부 지정 전문교육기관 또는 사설 교육기관에서 교육을 이수하고 자격을 취득한 경우에 한해 지원되며, 총 교육비의 80%를 군비로 지원하고 20%는 자부담으로 추진된다.
교육 과정은 초경량비행장치 관련 법규와 항공 이론 교육을 비롯해 시뮬레이터를 활용한 모의 비행 훈련, 실제 드론 비행 실습, 농약 안전 사용 교육 등으로 구성된다.
신청을 희망하는 농업인은 오는 3월 27일까지 교육신청서와 개인정보 제공·활용 동의서, 농업경영체 등록확인서를 구비해 울진군 농기계임대사업소 영농지원팀에 제출하면 된다.
농기계임대사업소 관계자는 “농업용 드론은 농약 살포와 병해충 방제 등 다양한 농작업에 활용도가 높아지고 있다”며 “이번 사업을 통해 농업인의 드론 활용 역량을 높이고 스마트 농업 확산에 기여할 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.

Eligibility is limited to farmers aged 19 to under 70 who reside in Uljin County as of the announcement date and are actively engaged in agriculture, provided they have completed registration as an agricultural business entity. A total of approximately 10 individuals will be selected.
Training costs will be supported only if the training is completed and the qualification is acquired at a specialized educational institution designated by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport or a private educational institution. The county will cover 80% of the total training costs, with the remaining 20% being the participant's own contribution. The training curriculum consists of education on regulations regarding ultralight aircraft and aviation theory, as well as simulated flight training using simulators, actual drone flight practice, and training on the safe use of pesticides.
Farmers wishing to apply should submit the training application form, a consent form for the provision and use of personal information, and a confirmation of agricultural business registration to the Farming Support Team at the Uljin County Agricultural Machinery Rental Office by March 27.
An official from the Agricultural Machinery Rental Office stated, "Agricultural drones are increasingly being utilized in various farming tasks, such as pesticide spraying and pest control," adding, "We expect this project to enhance farmers' drone utilization capabilities and contribute to the spread of smart agriculture."
