울진군은 지난 3월 12일 ‘제21기 울진녹색농업대학’ 입학식을 개최하고 본격적인 교육과정 운영에 들어갔다고 밝혔다.

이번 과정은 오는 10월 1일까지 약 8개월간 100시간 이상의 교육으로 진행되며, 울진 농업의 대전환을 이끌 핵심 인재 양성을 목표로 운영된다.

교육 과정은 지역 전략작목과 연계해 ▲청년창업농업대전환과 ▲사과과 ▲농산물가공창업과 등 3개 과정으로 구성됐으며, 총 82명의 교육생이 참여한다.

특히 이번 교육은 기존 이론 중심에서 벗어나 현장 실습과 지역 농업 현안 해결, 소득 증대에 중점을 둔 실무형 프로그램으로 운영된다.

청년창업농업대전환과는 신규·청년·귀농 농업인을 대상으로 울진 대표 작목 중심의 실용 기술 교육에 초점을 맞췄다. 사과과는 선도 농가 및 전문가와 연계한 맞춤형 교육을 통해 지역 사과의 경쟁력 강화를 지원한다. 농산물가공창업과는 지역 특산물을 활용한 가공상품 개발과 실습 중심 교육을 통해 창업 역량을 높이는 데 주력한다.

울진군농업기술센터 관계자는 “녹색농업대학의 출발을 축하한다”며 “교육생들의 도전과 열정이 울진 농업의 새로운 전환점이 될 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.

Uljin County announced that it held the entrance ceremony for the "21st Uljin Green Agriculture College" on March 12 and has begun full-scale operation of the educational curriculum.

This course will run for approximately eight months until October 1, consisting of over 100 hours of training, and is operated with the goal of cultivating key talents who will lead the great transformation of Uljin agriculture.

The curriculum is composed of three courses linked to the region's strategic crops: the Youth Entrepreneurship and Great Transformation of Agriculture Course, the Apple Course, and the Agricultural Product Processing Entrepreneurship Course, with a total of 82 trainees participating.

In particular, this training moves away from the traditional theory-centered approach and is operated as a practical program focusing on field practice, resolving local agricultural issues, and increasing income.

The Youth Entrepreneurship and Agricultural Transformation Division focuses on practical technical training centered on Uljin's representative crops for new, youth, and returning farmers. The Apple Division supports the strengthening of local apple competitiveness through customized education linked with leading farms and experts. The Agricultural Product Processing Entrepreneurship Division concentrates on enhancing entrepreneurial capabilities through the development of processed goods utilizing local specialties and hands-on training.

An official from the Uljin County Agricultural Technology Center stated, "We congratulate the launch of the Green Agriculture College," adding, "We expect the trainees' challenge and passion to become a new turning point for Uljin agriculture."
