그동안 울진사랑카드는 실물카드를 소지해야만 결제가 가능했으나, 이번 서비스 도입으로 카카오페이 앱에 카드를 등록하면 스마트폰을 통해 가맹점 어디서나 간편하게 결제할 수 있게 됐다. 결제 시 기존과 동일하게 캐시백 혜택도 그대로 적용된다.

특히 안드로이드와 iOS 구분 없이 모든 스마트폰 사용자들이 이용할 수 있어 접근성 또한 크게 개선될 것으로 기대된다.

다만, 카카오페이에 등록된 울진사랑카드는 매장 내 오프라인 결제만 지원되며 온라인 결제는 불가능하다.

울진군 관계자는 “이번 서비스 도입을 통해 울진사랑카드 이용률을 높이고, 군민들이 보다 손쉽게 사용할 수 있는 생활밀착형 결제 수단으로 자리잡을 것으로 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

Uljin County Introduces KakaoPay-Linked Simple Payment for ‘Uljin Love Card’

Uljin County is officially launching a mobile simple payment service linked to KakaoPay to enhance the convenience of using its local currency, the ‘Uljin Love Card.’

Previously, payments using the Uljin Love Card required carrying a physical card; however, with the introduction of this service, users can now register their card on the KakaoPay app and make convenient payments at any participating merchant via their smartphone. Cashback benefits will also remain the same as before.

In particular, accessibility is expected to improve significantly as the service is available to all smartphone users regardless of whether they use Android or iOS.

However, Uljin Love Cards registered with KakaoPay are only supported for in-store offline payments; online payments are not available.
