‘디지털 관광주민증’은 인구 소멸 위기 지역을 방문하는 관광객에게 발급되는 일종의 명예 주민증으로, 한국관광공사의 ‘대한민국 구석구석’ 앱을 통해 발급받을 수 있다. 관광객은 해당 주민증을 제시하면 울진군 내 참여 업체에서 숙박, 식음료, 관람, 체험 등 다양한 분야에서 할인 혜택을 받을 수 있다.
이번 사업에는 울진군 내 총 44개 업체가 참여한다. 업종별로는 숙박 9개소, 식음료 19개소, 체험 9개소 등으로 구성돼 관광객들이 보다 합리적인 비용으로 다양한 여행 콘텐츠를 즐길 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
울진군은 6월 정식 서비스 개시를 목표로 4~5월 동안 준비 작업에 행정력을 집중할 계획이다. 이 기간 신규 참여업체 등록을 완료하고 각 업체에 QR 스캐너를 설치하는 한편, 사용 교육과 안내 홍보물 비치 등을 통해 현장 대응 체계를 구축한다.
군은 서비스 준비 기간 동안 시스템 점검을 마무리해 관광객들이 불편 없이 관광주민증을 활용할 수 있도록 환경을 조성한다는 방침이다.
울진군 관계자는 “디지털 관광주민증 도입으로 방문객들에게 실속 있는 여행 경험을 제공할 것”이라며 “이를 통해 지역경제 활성화와 재방문율 제고를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
이어 “울진을 대한민국을 대표하는 체류형 복합 관광지로 도약시키기 위해 서비스 준비에 만전을 기하겠다”고 덧붙였다.

A total of 44 businesses in Uljin County are participating in this project. By sector, the lineup consists of 9 accommodation establishments, 19 food and beverage venues, and 9 experiential activity venues, and it is expected that tourists will be able to enjoy diverse travel content at more reasonable costs.
Uljin County plans to concentrate its administrative efforts on preparations during April and May, aiming for the official launch of the service in June. The official further added, "We will do our utmost to ensure service preparations are complete to elevate Uljin into a representative comprehensive destination for extended stays in Korea."
