영천시는 26일 시청 영상회의실에서 디제이오토모빌㈜과 210억 원 규모의 투자협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이날 협약식에는 최기문 영천시장과 이윤지 대표이사, 김봉수 CTO 사장 등 기업 관계자들이 참석해 투자 추진과 사업 협력에 대한 의지를 확인했다.

협약에 따라 디제이오토모빌㈜은 북안면 일원에 자동차, 로봇, 건설, 가전제품 등에 사용되는 자기윤활(슬라이딩) 베어링 생산시설을 구축할 계획이다. 사업 추진 과정에서 50명 이상의 신규 일자리 창출도 기대된다.

디제이오토모빌㈜은 정밀 소재부품 분야에서 연구개발과 생산 역량을 강화하고 있는 기업으로, 고기능성 부품의 국산화와 품질 경쟁력을 바탕으로 사업 영역을 확대하고 있다.

영천시는 이번 투자를 통해 정밀 소재부품 생산 기반을 확보하고 지역 제조업 경쟁력 강화에 긍정적인 효과를 가져올 것으로 기대하고 있다.

시 관계자는 “슬라이딩 베어링 생산기지 구축은 지역 산업 구조 고도화에 중요한 계기가 될 것”이라며 “기업의 안정적인 투자와 성장을 위해 행정적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.
