경북의 세계기록유산을 주제로 하는 2분 30초~3분 분량의 영상을 공모하는 이번 공모전은 6월 20일부터 30일까지 접수받으며, 이렇게 접수된 작품들을 대상으로 1차 8팀을 선발 후 완성도를 높이기 위한 멘토링 교육 등을 진행하여 10월 말 최종 평가 및 시상을 진행할 예정이다.

현재 경북은 세계가 인정한 유네스코 세계기록유산 국제목록 2종(유교책판, 국채보상운동기록물) 및 아시아‧태평양 지역 목록 2종(한국의 편액, 만인소)을 포함 총 4종을 소장하고 있으며, 올 연말 ‘내방가사’까지 아시아‧태평양 지역 목록에 등재되면 총 5종을 소장하게 된다.

서울을 제외한 지방자치단체 가운데 가장 많은 유네스코 세계기록유산 소장 지역으로, 주로 한국의 전통문화를 기반으로 생산된 기록유산들이다. 그 가치를 깊이 있게 알기 어려운 이유이다.

경북의 세계기록유산을 소장하고 있는 한국국학진흥원은 이러한 기록유산의 가치를 깊이 있게 공유하고 학생들의 시선으로 세계기록유산을 이해할 수 있도록 ‘세계기록유산 학생 영상 제작 공모전’을 기획했다.

내용은 다소 어렵지만, 학생들의 시선으로 즐겁게 풀어낼 수 있도록 지원함으로써, 우리 지역 기록유산에 대한 깊은 이해가 가능하도록 해보려는 시도이다.

이를 위해 한국국학진흥원은 이번 학생 영상 제작 공모전을 교육형 공모전으로 진행한다. 6월 30일까지 접수를 받은 공모작들 가운데 창의성과 완성도 등을 평가해서 8팀을 선발한 후, 이들을 대상으로 방송 PD와 구성작가, 촬영 감독, 세계기록유산 전문가 등으로부터 2개월 이상에 걸친 멘토링을 제공할 예정이다.

특히 세계기록유산과 같은 어려운 주제를 어떻게 구성하고 영상으로 표현할지에 대한 고민들을 공유함으로써, 세계기록유산에 대한 이해뿐만 아니라 영상 제작의 문법까지 경험해 볼 수 있는 기회를 제공하게 된다. 이렇게 완성된 작품은 10월 말 최종 프로모션을 통해 평가한 후 시상하게 된다.

시상은 경상북도(1등 경상북도지사상 : 문화상품권 50만원)을 비롯한 다양한 지역 기관들이 참여할 예정이며, 1차에 선발된 8팀 전체가 최소 장려상 이상을 시상하게 된다.

영상 제작에 관심이 있는 중고등학교 재학생이면 누구나 참여할 수 있으며, 영상의 주제는 현재 한국국학진흥원이 소장하고 있는 유네스코 세계기록유산 4종(유교책판, 국채보상운동기록물, 한국의 편액, 만인소)과 올해 연말 등재가 점쳐지고 있는 ‘내방가사’이다.
