【브레이크뉴스 안동】이성현 기자=한국국학진흥원(원장 정종섭)은 지난 20일 타이베이에 위치한 대만 국가도서관과 학술자원 교류를 위한 협약을 체결했다고 21일 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 한국국학진흥원이 K-컬처의 세계화를 위한 국외 교류 네트워크 확대 및 협력사업의 일환으로 추진됐다.

이번 협약을 통해 두 기관은 한문 희귀도서 전자자원 공유에 나서기로 했으며, 대만 국가도서관이 소장한 희귀도서 디지털 원문은 대만한학자료 전용 PC에서 열람할 수 있도록 할 계획이다.

한국국학진흥원은 이번 협약 외에도 대만에 소재한 대학 및 연구소 등과 학술교류를 강화하여 국학자료에 기반한 K-컬처 확산의 내실화에 힘을 쏟았다.

방대한 원전자료 데이터베이스로 유명한 대만의 국립연구원인 중앙연구원을 내방하여 근대사연구소, 역사언어연구소, 문학철학연구소의 연구원들과 현재 동아시아 인문학연구가 나아갈 길과 자료 DB화 및 아카이브 구축 등에 대해 논의했다.

또한 현재 한의대 설립을 추진중인 양명교통대학교(NCTU)와 전통 의학 서적 디지털 및 현대화 추세를 주제로 4차 산업시대에 정보교류 확대 방안에 대해 심도 있는 토론을 진행했다.

정종섭 한국국학진흥원 원장은 “대만의 풍부한 학술 자원을 시·공간의 제약 없이 활용할 수 있는 계기가 되어 기쁘다”면서, “앞으로도 양국의 기관이 지속적이고 긴밀한 교류를 이어나가며 상생 발전할 수 있도록 노력하겠다.“라고 밝혔다.
