【브레이크뉴스 안동】이성현 기자=한국국학진흥원(원장 정종섭)은 지난 22일부터 26일까지 몽골국립도서관(관장 이친호라로 바얄쿠) 직원들을 초청해 기록유산 보존·관리 경험을 공유하는 직무연수를 진행했다고 밝혔다. 이번 연수는 지난 5월 몽골 현지에서 체결한 업무협약과 한국본 자료 조사 사업에 이은 2차 협력사업이다.

이번 협약은 기록유산의 공동 발굴·보존·보호와 더불어 대중 인식 제고를 목표로 하며, 다양한 공동 사업 추진을 포함하고 있다.
연수는 5종의 유네스코 세계기록유산과 아·태지역 기록유산을 포함해 67만여 점의 자료를 소장한 한국국학진흥원 및 안동 일원에서 진행됐다. 몽골국립도서관장과 직원 10명은 기록유산 수집·등록·관리·디지털화 등 관련 업무를 직접 참관하고 질의응답을 통해 노하우를 공유했다.
특히 수장고와 장판각에서는 과학적인 보존 시설과 첨단 방재 설비, RFID 시스템에 깊은 관심을 보였으며, 유교문화박물관과 세계기록유산체험전시관에서는 ‘보이는 수장고’ 운영 방식에 대해 많은 질의를 쏟아냈다. 도산서원, 하회마을, 예안파 군자마을 등 현장 답사에서는 기록유산이 탄생한 전통 공간의 문화적 맥락을 이해하고, <수운잡방> 전통음식 체험을 통해 기록유산의 생활 속 가치를 직접 체험하기도 했다.
양 기관은 집담회를 통해 기록유산 수집·분류·정리·보존 및 디지털화 방안 등을 논의하며 향후 협력의 계기를 마련했다. 몽골국립도서관장은 “장판각을 보며 불교 관련 목판 전용 수장시설의 필요성을 절실히 느꼈다”며 “한국국학진흥원의 협력과 지원을 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
한국국학진흥원 관계자는 “이번 직무연수는 한국이 가진 기록유산 관리 경험을 국제적으로 확산하는 첫걸음”이라며 “앞으로도 국내외 유관 기관과 협력을 강화해 나가겠다”고 전했다.

The National Institute for the Advancement of Korean Studies (NIS) Holds Job Training for Staff from the National Library of Mongolia
The NIS (President Jeong Jong-seop) announced that it hosted a job training program for staff from the National Library of Mongolia (Director Ichinhoraro Bayalku) from May 22nd to 26th. The training program focused on sharing experiences in preserving and managing documentary heritage. This training program marks the second collaborative project, following the MOU signed in Mongolia in May and the research project for Korean archives.
The MOU aims to jointly discover, preserve, and protect documentary heritage, as well as raise public awareness, and encompasses various joint projects.
The training program was held at the NIS and the Andong area, which houses approximately 670,000 items, including five UNESCO World Heritage sites and documentary heritage from the Asia-Pacific region. The director and ten staff members of the National Library of Mongolia directly observed the collection, registration, management, and digitization of documentary heritage and shared their expertise through a Q&A session.
In particular, the participants at the storage facility and Jangpangak (woodblock printing house) showed keen interest in the scientific preservation facilities, cutting-edge disaster prevention equipment, and RFID systems. At the Confucian Culture Museum and the World Documentary Heritage Experience Exhibition Hall, they asked many questions about the operation of the "visible storage facility." Field trips to sites such as Dosan Seowon, Hahoe Village, and Yeanpa Gunja Village provided an opportunity to understand the cultural context of the traditional spaces where documentary heritage was born. They also experienced the value of documentary heritage in daily life through a traditional food experience at Suun Japbang.
The two organizations held a meeting to discuss ways to collect, classify, organize, preserve, and digitize documentary heritage, establishing opportunities for future cooperation. The Director of the National Library of Mongolia stated, "While visiting Jangpangak, I felt a keen need for a dedicated storage facility for Buddhist woodblock printing. We look forward to the cooperation and support of the National Institute for the Advancement of Korean Studies."
An official from the National Institute for the Advancement of Korean Studies stated, "This internship is the first step toward sharing Korea's experience in managing documentary heritage internationally. We will continue to strengthen cooperation with relevant organizations both domestically and internationally."
