13일 대구 남부경찰서 등에 따르면 지난 10일 오전 6시 27분쯤 남구 대명동 한 빌라 지하 보일러실에서 여성으로 추정되는 백골 시신이 발견됐다.

시신은 겨울 점퍼와 양말 등을 입은 채 발견됐으며 해당 빌라 세입자는 아닌 것으로 알려졌다.

경찰관계자는 "백골 시신을 보니 틀니가 있어 나이가 많은 것으로 추정했다"며 "빌라 주인이 지하에 청소하려 내려갔다가 사체를 발견했다"고 말했다.

경찰은 저체온증으로 인한 사망, 치매 노인 등 다양한 가능성을 열어 놓고 정확한 경위를 조사 중이다.
