지난 11일 남구 신청사 건립 부지선정 위원회는 회의를 통해 강당골 공영주차장 부지를 건립지로 최종 결정했다.

도시계획·건축·재정·법률 등 분야별 전문가와 주민대표 등 총 25명으로 출범한 부지선정 위원회는 현 청사와 강당골 공영주차장 부지를 후보지로 두고 적정성 검토, 전문가 토론 및 의견 청취, 주민 여론조사 등을 전개해 왔다.

신청사 후보지로 선정된 강당골 공영주차장 부지는 경제성과 더불어 넓은 부지면적에 따른 토지 적합성에서 상대적으로 높은 평가를 받았다. 

특히 앞산과 연계된 지리적인 상징성 및 확장성 등에서도 높은 경쟁력을 보였다. 

이에 따라 남구는 타당성 조사 및 투자심사, 실시설계 등을 거쳐 2029년 신청사를 준공할 방침이다. 

김한수 위원장은 "부지선정 과정이 투명하고 공정하게 진행될 수 있도록 최선을 다했으며, 앞으로 본격적으로 추진될 신청사 건립에 대해 주민 여러분의 지속적인 관심과 성원을 부탁드린다”고 말했다.

조재구 남구청장은 “남구 미래 100년의 중심축이 될 신청사 건립을 위한 첫발을 구민들과 함께 결정하게 되어 매우 큰 의미가 있다고 생각한다”며 “남구 신청사가 지역의 역사와 미래를 함께 담은 도시의 랜드마크로 자리매김할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

Accordingly, Nam-gu plans to complete the new building in 2029 after going through feasibility studies, investment reviews, and detailed designs.

Chairman Kim Han-soo said, “We did our best to ensure that the site selection process is transparent and fair, and we ask for your continued interest and support for the construction of the new building, which will be fully implemented in the future.”

Nam-gu Mayor Cho Jae-gu said, “I think it is very meaningful that we have decided to take the first step toward building the new building, which will be the central axis of Nam-gu’s future 100 years, together with the residents.” He added, “We will do our best to ensure that the Nam-gu new building can establish itself as a landmark of the city that contains both the history and future of the region.”
