【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 남구가 명동어린이공원 리뉴얼 사업의 건축설계공모에서 당선작을 선정했다고 23일 밝혔다.

㈜화인종합건축사사무소의 작품이 당선작으로 최종 선정됐다. 이번 사업은 노후되고 협소한 시설을 정비하고 지역의 도시재생 기반을 확충하기 위해 평생학습관과 어린이공원, 지하주차장을 조성하는 것이다.

평생학습관은 지하 1층부터 지상 4층까지 연면적 1368㎡ 규모로 경로당도 포함한다. 어린이공원은 연면적 2185㎡, 지하주차장은 71면 규모로 조성된다. 

총사업비 130억원을 투입해 2027년 12월 준공을 목표로 추진된다.

지난 7월 7일부터 60일간의 공모 기간을 거쳐 20개 업체가 응모 등록을 하고 6개의 공모안이 접수됐다. 17일 심사위원회를 통해 당선작 1개 작품과 기타입상작 4개 작품을 최종 선정했다.

남구는 심사의 공정성과 투명성을 높이기 위해 심사위원을 추첨으로 선정하고, 심사과정을 남구청 공식 유튜브 채널에서 생중계했다.

심사위원회는 "당선작의 경우 어린이공원에 대한 창의적 계획과 배치, 평생학습관과의 연계 및 동선이 탁월하고 지하주차장으로의 접근성이 우수했다"고 평가했다.

이어 "기타입상작들도 건축과 조경계획 등에서 우선순위를 매기기 어려울 정도로 훌륭한 작품들이었다"고 덧붙였다.

조재구 남구청장은 "명동어린이공원 리뉴얼 사업을 통해 노후된 공원을 재조성하여 주민들에게 쾌적한 휴식 공간을 제공하고, 만성적인 주차난 해소와 평생학습도시를 위한 저변을 마련하겠다"고 말했다.
