축제는 앞산축제와 연계해 앞산카페거리와 맛둘레길을 알리고, 지역 외식상권 활성화를 목표로 기획됐다.
올해 행사에는 대구를 비롯해 경기도, 강원도 등 다양한 지역의 커피업체 34곳이 참여한다. 참가 업체들은 개성 있는 커피 제품을 선보이며, 전 매장에서 아메리카노 할인 행사를 통해 관람객이 부담 없이 커피를 즐길 수 있도록 할 예정이다. 또 커피와 잘 어울리는 디저트와 베이커리도 함께 판매되며, 참여업체 정보를 확인할 수 있는 QR코드도 현장에 비치된다.
커피에 대한 이해를 넓히고 즐거움을 더하는 체험 행사도 마련됐다. 커피명가 안명규 대표가 진행하는 커피 토크쇼를 비롯해 핸드드립 체험, 나만의 커피 취향 찾기 등 다양한 부스가 운영된다. 관람객은 원두별로 다른 맛을 비교하며 자신의 취향을 발견할 수 있다.
대한제과협회 대구남구지부는 현장에서 빵을 직접 구워 저렴하게 판매하며 축제에 풍미를 더한다. 이외에도 클라이밍 체험, 낭만 포차, 플리마켓, 뷰티 체험, 친환경 놀이터 등 대구앞산축제와 연계한 다채로운 부대행사가 마련돼 커피 외에도 풍성한 즐길거리를 제공할 예정이다.
조재구 남구청장은 “앞산의 자연 속에서 향긋한 커피와 따뜻한 베이커리를 즐기며 여유롭고 힐링 가득한 시간을 보내시길 바란다”고 전했다.
