충전방해 행위 단속은 시 담당자의 현장 단속과 더불어 행정안전부에서 운영하는 안전신문고 애플리케이션을 활용, 신고요건이 구비되고 위반행위가 명백한 경우 현장 단속 없이 과태료 부과 처분이 이루어지는 주민신고제를 통해 이루어질 예정이다.

이성화 환경위생과장은 “김천시의 친환경 모빌리티 보급이 꾸준히 증가 추세를 보이고 있는 만큼 충전 인프라의 확보도 중요하겠지만, 충전방해 행위 방지에 대한 인식 확보 또한 중요하다고 생각한다. 단속 개시 이후에도 관련 법령을 적극적으로 홍보함과 동시에 충전 인프라 확보를 위해서도 노력하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
