이날 행사에는 김천시 김충섭 김천시장, 강임준 군산시장을 비롯해 이명기 김천시의회 의장, 김영일 군산시의회 의장 등 관계자가 참석해 양 도시의 우호 협력관계를 다지는 소중한 시간을 가졌다.

군산시에서는 흰찰쌀보리, 젓갈, 박대, 게장 등 35종의 다양한 특산물을 선보여 42백만원의 사전주문을 받았고 당일 준비한 21종의 특산물 또한 조기 매진되어 총65백만원의 판매고를 올렸다.

김충섭 김천시장은 “매년 추석 명절을 맞아 군산의 우수 농수특산물을 저렴하게 판매해 감사하다. 2년 동안 코로나19로 현장 판매를 하지 않았는데잊지 않고 찾아주신 김천시민들에게도 감사하다. 앞으로도 양 도시 교류를 더욱 활성화하고 실질적인 교류 협력을 추진해 우호 관계가 지속해서 발전할 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”라고 말했다.
