【브레이크뉴스 김천】이성현 기자=김천시(시장 김충섭)는 지난 2일 도청에서 개최된 ‘2024년도(23년 실적) 규제개혁 시군 평가’에서‘최우수상’을 수상했다고 밝혔다.

시에 따르면 이번 평가는 경상북도 내 22개 시군을 대상으로 정부합동평가 규제 분야 지표와 경상북도 자체평가 지표에 대해 지난 한 해 동안 추진한 실적을 종합적으로 심사해 진행됐다.

김천시는 지난해 규제개혁 공모전을 통해 시민들로부터 83건의 과제를 접수해 개선이 시급한 규제를 중앙부처에 건의한 결과 산업단지 내 건설업 허용 등 8건의 중점과제 선정과 17건의 개선 의견 수용을 끌어냈다.

또한 찾아가는 규제신고센터 운영, 규제혁신 TF 회의를 통해 발굴된 과제를 경북도 규제개선 공모전에 응모해 다수의 과제가 수용되는 쾌거를 이뤘으며, 등록규제 정비와 적극 행정 벤치마킹을 시행해 시민의 편의와 복지 증진, 경제 활성화를 위해 노력했다.

김충섭 김천시장은 “우리 시가 성장하기 위해 변화와 혁신이 필요한 시기에 이번 규제개혁 최우수 기관 선정으로 개혁의 물꼬를 트고 앞으로도 현장에서 시민과 소통을 통해 일상생활과 기업활동을 저해하는 불합리한 규제를 적극 발굴, 개선해 혁신의 동력을 확보하겠다.”라고 말했다.
