김천시에 따르면 대구 동구청과는 지난 2019년 10월 우리 시와 상호 교류, 우호증진을 위해자매결연을 체결했다.

이날 대구 동구청 광장에서는 김천시로 귀농한 10여 농가가 참여해 샤인 머스캣, 사과, 표고버섯 등 다양한 물품을 전시·판매하여 지역 주민들과 김천 향우회의 큰 호응을 얻었다.

이번 행사를 통해 김천시의 우수 농특산물 홍보하고 2천5백만 원의 판매고를 올려 귀농인들의 소득에도 보탬이 됐다.

김병수 농업기술센터 소장은 “부산 영도구와 대구 동구는 자매결연 맺은지얼마 되지 않았고, 코로나 19로 인해 상호 교류가 어려웠다. 우리 시농특산물 홍보판촉 행사를 시작으로 폭넓고 다양한 교류를 통해 자매도시 간더욱 상생 발전할 수 있는 방안을 찾을 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”라고 말했다.
