먼저 식전행사로 도내 산학연관 기관단체장 30여명으로 구성된 ‘경북 이차전지 산학연관 혁신 거버넌스’ 출범식을 갖고 이차전지 특화단지 유치를 위한협력과 연대를 강화해 나가기로 했다.

이차전지 혁신 거버넌스는 경북도지사, 포항시장, 에코프로 대표이사를 공동위원장으로 기업(포스코케미칼, GS건설 에네르마, SM벡셀, LG BCM 등 9개사), 학교(포항공대, 경북대, 영남대, 금오공대 등 7개), 연구소(경북테크노파크, 경북하이브리드부품연구원, 포항산업과학연구원 등 8개), 관(도의회, 시의회 등 6개) 총 30개 기관단체장으로 구성됐다.

이어 글로벌 전구체 시장 1위로 약 25%의 점유율을 확보하고 있는 CNGR의 덩 웨이밍 대표, 이철우 경북도지사, 이강덕 포항시장이 투자양해각서(MOU)를 체결했다.
