이날 보고회에는 경북 이차전지 특화단지 실무특별전담팀(TF) 위원 등 관계자 20여명이 참석한 가운데 특화단지 지정을 위한 기초조건을 검토하고 차후 공모일정에 발 빠르게 대응하기로 했다.

특히 경북도는 특화단지 지정에 이차전지 원료·소재 확보에 용이한 영일만신항을 보유한 포항의 지리적 강점과 이차전지 관련 기업의 집적화를 부각해 지역 내 미래 먹거리와 지역의 혁신성장 동력 확보한다는 복안이다.

이날 착수보고회에서는 실무특별전담팀(TF)위원들이 특화단지 계획에 대한 아낌없는 조언을 내었다.

실무특별전담팀(TF) 위원인 이영주 경북TP 이차전지종합관리센터장은 “실무특별전담팀(TF)은 경북의 이차전지 첨단전략산업 특화단지 지정을 위해 모든 역량을 동원해 지원하겠다”며 특화단지 지정 의지를 내비쳤다.

경북도는 국첨위의 특화단지 지정 등에 관한 지침이 고시되는 대로 실무특별전담팀(TF) 위원과 함께 관련 전문가, 지역 이차전지 기업들의 의견을 청취해 특화단지 지정요건, 조성 계획(안)을 다듬어 갈 방침이다.

또 지역의 선도기업을 중심으로 전후방 연계효과가 극대화될 수 있도록 지속적인 네트워킹을 통해 세부전략도 마련할 예정이다.

장상길 경북도 과학산업국장은 “경북 포항은 수출입이 용이한 영일만신항과, 포스텍을 비롯한 도내 대학, 연구기관 등에 우수한 연구인력을 보유하고 있어 이차전지 산업에 최적의 조건을 갖고 있다”며“지역의 산학연관 혁신역량을 모두 결집해 특화단지 지정을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
